Sale shortlisted for ‘Foodie Neighbourhood of the Year’ Award at MFDF 2025

Sale has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Foodie Neighbourhood of the Year’ award in the Manchester Food and Drink Festival (MFDF) Awards 2025.

You might think you’ve read that opening line before… because you have! This is actually the fourth consecutive year the town has received a nomination, though it has yet to secure the title, sadly.

The shortlist, compiled by a panel of respected food critics and experts, celebrates the region’s most exciting culinary destinations. Three Sale venues have also received nominations in this year’s awards: Pray Tell for ‘Bar of the Year’, Ceresis in Sale Moor, for 'Takeaway of the Year' and The Perfect Match on Cross Street for 'Neighbourhood Venue of the Year'. Congratulations to them for their nominations!

Residents and foodie fans can cast their votes until midnight on 12 January 2026. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at New Century in Manchester city centre on Monday 26 January 2026.
