GET Free Books finds a new home inside Emporium M33

Charity bookshop GET Free Books has found a new home inside Emporium M33 in Sale, following the closure of its Stanley Square shop earlier this month.

The much-loved community book initiative, which has been in the town centre for eight years, has now been given a fresh start thanks to the generosity of Scott Lyons, owner of Emporium M33.

Scott offered the charity a dedicated space inside the Tatton Road venue and he’s also provided an adjoining area that GET Free Books has transformed into a cosy children’s corner — complete with a comfy sofa and colouring table for little readers.

The new setup is smaller than the previous unit it held, but it allows GET Free Books to continue its mission of encouraging reading and sharing stories within the community. Visitors can still take up to three books for free, keeping the much-loved ‘give and take’ spirit alive in its new home.

At the moment, the charity needs children’s books to fill the new space and would welcome donations of good-quality titles for young readers. No other donations are currently being accepted.

🕙 Opening hours: Monday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm
