Sale care business launches after founder watched his father struggle with inconsistent home care
A new home care service has opened in Sale after its founder decided to act on a troubling experience closer to home – watching his father receive rushed and inconsistent care following a lengthy hospital stay.

Majid Ishaq, who grew up in Manchester and built a career in retail, operations and finance, has launched Visiting Angels on Washway Road, offering care to people in their own homes across West Manchester.
"My dad had always been independent and active,” said Majid.
“Suddenly, he was being moved through a system that didn't seem designed around him as a person. When care lacks time and continuity, the impact goes far beyond the person receiving it – it affects the whole family."
Visiting Angels operates what it calls a 'carer-centric' model, emphasising the wellbeing of care workers as well as clients, on the basis that better-treated staff provide better care.
"I've seen what happens in workplaces where people feel undervalued – it never leads to good outcomes," said Majid. "In care, how carers are treated directly shapes the experience of the person receiving support."
Majid is running the business alongside his wife Lubna, a paediatric nurse who also runs her own childcare business and who will support the administrative side of the operation.
He also has a long track record of community work in Manchester, including supporting people experiencing homelessness and raising funds for those affected by conflict overseas.
"Families often feel they have to accept whatever care is available," he said. "I want to show that it's possible to expect – and receive – care that's consistent, thoughtful and genuinely centred around the person."
