‘Vintage in the Square’ to bring music, dancing and classic cars to Sale

A day of vintage fun is coming to Stanley Square next month, as ‘Vintage in the Square’ is set to take place on on Saturday 09 May.

Stanley Square, Sale

Running from 11am to 5pm, the event is a partnership between Stanley Square, Paint Sale Pink and Our Kids Social and will mark the start of this year’s Paint Sale Pink campaign. Paint Sale Pink is back for 2026 and runs from Saturday 9 May to Saturday 23 May, turning Sale, Ashton upon Mersey and Sale Moor pink to raise money and awareness for Prevent Breast Cancer.

Visitors can expect a packed programme of family-friendly entertainment and activities throughout the day, including music and dance performances from local community groups, vintage stalls, kids’ activities, Lego, circus skills, kids’ crafts, rockabilly fashion, jive and line dancing, a DJ and the chance to see some classic cars up close.

The event promises to bring plenty of colour and energy to the Square, while also helping launch another year of Paint Sale Pink, a much-loved community campaign that encourages local businesses, schools and residents to get involved with pink-themed fundraising and awareness activities. Previous campaigns have raised thousands for the charity, with the campaign now firmly part of Sale’s spring calendar.

With live entertainment, vintage style and plenty to keep children busy, ‘Vintage in the Square’ looks set to be a lively start to the May celebrations in Sale.
