Sale Beer and Gin Festival 2025 raises almost £10,000 for local charities

Sale Beer and Gin Festival has confirmed that this year’s event raised close to £10,000 for four local and regional charities – a huge boost for the causes supported and a proud moment for the volunteer team behind the bar.

The 2025 festival, held at St. Anne’s Church Hall on Trinity Road in May, welcomed over 700 people across two days, making it the most successful event in its history to date.

Run entirely by volunteers from Manchester Round Table, the festival combined great beer, gin and street food with a serious fundraising mission – with every penny of profit going straight to good causes.

A lifeline for four charities

This year’s total – almost £10,000 – will be shared between four charities chosen by Manchester Round Table:

  • Derian House, which provides respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions across the North West.

  • Rebuilding Lives UK, supporting victims of domestic abuse by funding essential home maintenance and repairs so families can feel safe again.

  • Mind, offering vital mental health support for young people and adults – often starting with a simple conversation or phone call.

  • Everyone Can, a Sale-based charity that uses specialist technology and accessible gaming to improve and enrich the lives of disabled people.

For all four charities, donations like this help to keep services running, fund specialist staff and equipment and reach more people who need support – from children in respite care and families rebuilding after abuse, to local residents struggling with their mental health or living with a disability.

Organisers said they were “over the moon” with the final total and the feedback from festival-goers, many of whom praised the atmosphere, the range of drinks on offer and the focus on community and charity.

Volunteers raising pints – and pounds

Sale Beer and Gin Festival is organised and hosted by Manchester Round Table, part of the worldwide Round Table movement – a voluntary organisation for men aged 18-45 that raises money for local charities through events such as bonfire nights, beer festivals and fun runs.

The team give up their own time to plan, promote and run the event, from booking breweries and food traders to decorating the hall, pouring pints and tidying up at the end of the night.

Festival confirmed to return in 2026

If you missed out this year – or you’re already planning your next visit – the good news is that Sale Beer and Gin Festival will be back.

Dates for the 2026 event have already been confirmed as Friday 08 May and Saturday 09 May 2026, once again at St. Anne’s Church Hall in Sale. Tickets will go on sale in 2026.

Sponsorship opportunities for local businesses

As well as ticket sales and bar spend, sponsorship plays a key role in how much the festival can pass on to charity – and organisers are keen to hear from local businesses who’d like to get involved for 2026.

Sponsorship packages start from £50 and range up to £250, with options including:

  • Having your business name or logo in the event programme, on the website and on projector slides in the venue

  • Pump clip or barrel sponsorship

  • Half-page or full-page adverts in the programme

  • On-site visibility, such as banners or table leaflets

  • Beer tokens for your team or clients to enjoy at the festival

Organisers say that without sponsors, the festival simply couldn’t happen and every pound of sponsorship helps boost the final amount donated to charity.

Businesses interested in sponsoring the 2026 festival can find full details and package options at salebeerfestival.com.
