Eric and Ern, from Olivier-nominated duo Ian Ashpitel and Jonty Stephens, will tour the UK in autumn/winter 2026 to mark the joint centenary of the much-loved entertainers.

The tour celebrates what would have been the 100th birthdays of Eric Morecambe, born on 14 May 1926, and Ernie Wise, born on 17 November 1925.

The show follows the success of Ashpitel and Stephens’ critically acclaimed West End hit Eric & Little Ern, which brought the magic of Morecambe and Wise back to the stage for a new generation of audiences.

Taking audiences back to the era when families gathered around the television for the famous Morecambe and Wise Christmas specials, Eric and Ern is described as a heartfelt homage to two of Britain’s best-loved comedy heroes.

The production is packed with classic routines, songs and sketches, including nods to some of the duo’s most famous moments, from Grieg’s Piano Concerto to Mr Memory and the unforgettable cry of “Arsenal!”

Suitable for audiences aged eight and over, the show promises a nostalgic evening of comedy, music and memories for fans who grew up watching Morecambe and Wise, as well as younger audiences discovering their work for the first time.
