Powerful dance production ‘Threads’ comes to Sale
A moving dance performance exploring the challenges of growing up and the importance of friendship is coming to Sale later this month.
Threads, presented by Coalesce Dance Theatre, will be performed at The Robert Bolt Theatre, Waterside, on Tuesday 21 October at 7.30pm.
Suitable for young people aged 12 and above, Threads shines a light on the ups and downs of adolescence, highlighting the role of friendships, support and shared experiences in navigating difficult times. Drawing on real stories from teenagers across the North of England, the production weaves together contemporary dance and physical theatre to tell a heartfelt story about identity and mental health.
Audience members have praised the show for its emotional impact:
“It was intimate and moving. I was really touched by the repetition of needing support and giving support—it resonated deeply with me. We all need help, but it’s not always easy to ask.”
“The storytelling was so powerful and beautifully delivered, it almost made me cry.”
“Amazing, original, and creative... it told a story in a way I’ve never seen before.”
Threads offers a poignant reminder that none of us have to face challenges alone, making it a thought-provoking evening for young people, families, and the wider community.
