The award-winning parks in Sale, for the seventh year in a row, are Walkden Gardens, Walton Park and Worthington Park.
These parks are managed by the One Trafford Partnership, in collaboration with volunteer Friends of Parks groups. Their efforts ensure that the parks consistently meet the standards required for the Green Flag Award throughout the year, which include aesthetics, horticulture, biodiversity, community involvement, historical features and conservation standards. Trafford Council has made addressing the climate crisis a strategic corporate priority.
Overall, the borough of Trafford is celebrating 12 Green Flag awarded parks and green spaces.
