Sale girls' football team win sponsorship from local estate agent

A girls’ grassroots football team in Sale will kick off its new season with a welcome boost from a local business. EweMove Sale, run by husband-and-wife team Samantha and Pete Corbett (pictured below), is the official sponsor of the Brooklands Dragons Firecrackers Girls U9s for the 2025/2026 season.

The estate agency, based in Sale Moor, has pledged its support not only by sponsoring the team’s new kit – complete with the EweMove logo – but also by launching a unique fundraising scheme to benefit the club throughout the year.

For every property listing that comes via the team, EweMove will donate £100 to the Firecrackers – a move designed to provide ongoing financial support while strengthening ties with the local community.

EweMove Sale owner Samantha Corbett said: “As a female-founded and locally-run family business, we believe it's incredibly important to champion and support girls in sport within our own community. The Brooklands Dragons Firecrackers embody teamwork, dedication and passion and we are absolutely delighted to be able to help them achieve their goals.

“We're not just selling homes; we're building relationships and strengthening the fabric of Sale. We hope our contribution, both through the sponsorship and the referral scheme, will make a real difference to the team and show that we're truly here for our neighbours.”

The Firecrackers – part of the wider Brooklands Dragons club – are preparing for their new season in September and the players, coaches and parents have welcomed the gesture.

Kevin Carlton-Jones, coach of the Brooklands Dragons Firecrackers Girls U9s, said: “On behalf of the coaching team, Tristan, Pete, Gemma and I, as well as all the parents and players, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to Pete and Samantha for their generosity and genuine support of the team and grassroots sport as a whole. Their values around family-oriented fun in sport align perfectly with the Brooklands ethos. We can’t wait to kick off the new season in September!”

This isn’t the first time EweMove Sale has backed grassroots sport. Last year, they supported the Sale Rugby Football Club U11s on their tour to Motherwell in Scotland.

Operating 24/7, EweMove Sale offers sales and lettings services across the area, with no fixed contract length and a “Happy Sale Guarantee”. But for Samantha and Pete, being a part of the local community goes far beyond property.

“We’re proud to be part of Sale,” they added, “and proud to support its future.”
