The Northern Light Cinema in Sale is set to turn into Rydell High for one night only later this month as it hosts a special charity screening of the film classic Grease.

The Northern Light Cinema, Sale

The sing-along event, part of the town’s Paint Sale Pink programme for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, takes place on Thursday 23 October at 7.30pm.

Standard tickets are £11, concessions £10 and under 16s £8.50, with all proceeds going to Prevent Breast Cancer, the UK’s only charity dedicated solely to predicting and preventing the disease.

Local businesses including Shine, Willow Goat Crafts, Sports & All and Hines Accountancy are supporting the evening, which promises a fun, feel-good night for a good cause.

Cinema-goers are encouraged to channel their inner Sandy or Danny by dressing up in their best Grease-inspired outfits – though fancy dress isn’t compulsory – before joining in with the much-loved songs.

Prevent Breast Cancer is based at the UK’s only breast cancer prevention centre and focuses on early diagnosis, screening and lifestyle changes, with the aim of stopping the disease before it starts.
