Sale care manager highly commended at Stars of Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards

Kimberley Douglas, registered manager at Beckdale House in Sale, part of Milewood, has been highly commended in The Amazing Manager Award (North) at the inaugural Stars of Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards.

Held to recognise and celebrate excellence across the Learning Disabilities and Autism sector, the ceremony brought together outstanding professionals from across the country. The event was hosted by Traitors (S3) contestant and Mencap Ambassador Alexander Dragonetti, who presented the awards in front of sector leaders and colleagues.

Kimberley, who placed second in a fiercely competitive category, was recognised for her exceptional leadership, dedication to her team, and unwavering commitment to improving the lives of the people supported at Beckdale House.

MP for Wythenshawe and Sale East Mike Kane visited Beckdale for a tour, to meet staff and residents and congratulate Kimberley on her award.
