Manchester Soundwave Festival set to return to Ashton upon Mersey summer 2026
A full day of live music, entertainment and festival fun is heading back to Ashton upon Mersey this summer as Manchester Soundwave Festival returns on Saturday 13 June 2026.
The event will take place at Mersey Valley Sports Club on Banky Lane, bringing together tribute acts, emerging artists and family-friendly attractions for what promises to be one of the area’s liveliest dates in the early summer calendar.
Following last year’s successful event, this year’s line-up includes Complete Stone Roses and Pulp’d, alongside what organisers describe as a strong mix of Manchester tribute acts, up-and-coming musicians and surprise headliners, all celebrating the city’s famously influential music scene.
But Manchester Soundwave is not just about the music. Festival-goers can also expect a traditional funfair, street food, bars and a marketplace featuring local traders.
With a line-up rooted in the city’s musical identity and a format that mixes live entertainment with a broader festival atmosphere, Manchester Soundwave looks set to bring plenty of energy back to Banky Lane in June. For local music fans, families and anyone who enjoys a good tribute set on a summer’s day, it is one to get in the diary now.
