Manchester Soundwave Festival set to electrify Ashton on Mersey
A celebration of iconic Manchester music is coming to Sale.
Manchester’s iconic music heritage will take centre stage this September with the Manchester Soundwave Festival, jam-packed with a full day of live music, entertainment and family fun at Ashton on Mersey Sports Club on Saturday 06 September.
A must-attend event for Manchester music lovers and families alike, the festival promises an unforgettable celebration of Manchester’s greatest music legends and the grassroots artists keeping the city’s sound alive today with a line-up curated to the city’s iconic music scene, headlined by a special Oasis tribute set by renowned local band, Monkey Harris capturing the anthems and attitude of one of Manchester’s most legendary bands alongside performances of Manchester classics from The Smiths, Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses, and M People performed by incredible local bands including The Camdens, Parlaiz and Sound Machines.
The lineup is complete with a high-energy Manchester anthems DJ set to keep the atmosphere alive throughout. From indie rock nostalgia to new talent, the sound of Manchester past and present is showcased in one unforgettable festival in a day.
The festival site will transform Ashton on Mersey Sports Club into a family-friendly celebration, featuring pop-up food and drink stalls from local street food vendors and brewers, a local gift and craft market showcasing Manchester’s makers and creatives and traditional funfair rides and attractions.
