Cork of the North announces new coffee shop in Sale

Popular Sale wine bar Cork of the North is branching out – from tomorrow (Wednesday 18 June), it will be opening its doors earlier as a brand new coffee shop.

Cork of the North Coffee Shop

Known for its carefully curated, high quality wine offering, the team is now turning its attention to artisan coffee with the launch of Cork of the North Coffee. The new service will run daily from 8am to 4pm, before returning to its regular wine bar setup in the evenings.

Customers can expect the same dedication to quality that has made Cork of the North a local favourite. The coffee menu features traceable, single-origin beans sourced from small farms and washing stations around the world, roasted by Cartwheel, an independent UK roastery focused on sustainability and flavour. The star of the setup is a Victoria Arduino Black Eagle – the same top-tier espresso machine used in the World Barista Championships.

Marc Hough, owner of Cork of the North, told Life in Sale, "We reckon we will be serving the best coffee in Sale!"

In a first for Sale, the café will also serve Vietnamese coffee, made using the traditional phin filter, alongside decaf options and eight organic teas.

Food-wise, customers can pick from a selection of sweet treats including cappuccino muffins, Biscoff cronuts, apple crumble blondies and cinnamon buns, all sourced from local independent bakeries.

Coffee in the morning, wine at night – Sale’s favourite wine bar just gave us one more reason to pop in!
