Sale's canalside pub, The Bridge Inn, has reopened following a £335,000 refurbishment – its second major makeover in just over three years.
The popular JW Lees pub, overlooking the Bridgewater Canal, welcomed customers back last week, revealing a fresh new look inside.
The latest investment comes just three and a half years after the brewery spent £250,000 revamping the venue. This time around, the bar and dining areas have been given a refresh, with new furniture, fixtures, fittings and décor throughout, creating a cosy, contemporary feel while retaining the character of a traditional local pub.
Outside, there's a new addition to the popular beer garden. A Pergotenda Maestro canopy now provides a sheltered seating area overlooking the canal, making it easier to enjoy the waterside setting even when the Manchester weather isn't playing ball!
There's plenty happening in the kitchen, too, with a new seasonal menu featuring dishes including a spiced chicken hanging kebab, minted lamb Henry, breaded chicken schnitzel and honey-glazed braised ham hock, alongside the pub's familiar favourites.
At the bar, you'll find a selection of JW Lees beers brewed in Middleton, including Manchester Craft Lager, Manchester Pale Ale and Founders Ale, plus rotating guest ales and seasonal releases from The Boilerhouse microbrewery.
The pub will continue hosting community events, including quiz nights, while its conservatory remains available for group meals and private functions.
General manager Kevin McCarthy (pictured above) is delighted with the transformation, saying, "The pub has been given a warm, cosy new look that matches the welcome our customers receive. The team and I are absolutely thrilled with the finished result and proud of the job that has been done."
With its spot beside the Bridgewater Canal, The Bridge Inn remains a handy stop for walkers, cyclists and anyone fancying a bite to eat or a drink by the water.
