A look inside The Bridge Inn, Sale

Family brewer and pub operator JW Lees has officially opened The Bridge Inn, following the closure of its previous iteration in January this year.

The Bridge Inn, on Brindley Avenue in Sale, is home to a large beer garden, overlooking the Bridgewater Canal. It has an outdoor pizza oven and a large conservatory for those rainy days!

Since taking the pub in-house as a brewery pub, JW Lees has invested £250,000 to get the venue ready for opening day. To date, they have recruited 40 staff and are looking for more.

Managed by Kevin McCarthy, the dog-friendly pub-restaurant serves a number of cask ales and is serving a ‘JW Lees menu with a difference’. It is one of only two JW Lees pubs to serve this particular menu and indicates that food is a key priority for the brewery, with a pizza and Sunday lunch menu available as well as an extensive day and evening menu.

We went along on the opening day to take a look.

With its canal-side location, The Bridge Inn is set to be a hive of activity come the warmer weather and we wish the team every success for the future!

The Bridge Inn opening times:

  • Monday – Thursday 11am – 11pm

  • Friday – Saturday 11am – 12am

  • Sunday 12pm – 10.30pm
