Navigating the summer holiday schedule can sometimes feel like embarking on a challenging treasure hunt, especially when it comes to finding affordable and engaging activities for your kids. But fret not, Sale parents and carers! There are plenty of holiday clubs and adventures locally that won't completely destroy your bank account.
Junior 'Learn to Row' Courses from Trafford Rowing Club
Does your child fancy giving rowing a go? Trafford Rowing Club is running a Learn to Row course for juniors (ages 11–14), starting 21 July and running across the summer.
It's four sessions (two hours each), teaching the basics on the Bridgewater Canal and getting your child ready to join the club afterwards if they'd like to continue. The course costs £125 and free places are available for low-income families.
The friendly club welcomes all abilities, whether your child just wants to get outdoors and have fun on the water or has ambitions to compete seriously, there's a place for them at Trafford Rowing Club.

Open to children aged 4-15, equipment is provided and the team offer a wide range of activities, both indoor and outdoor.
Children will be divided by age and ability to ensure an environment that encourages maximum skill development. The club’s coaches will be on hand to help children of all ages and abilities gain self-confidence, social skills and make friends. Early drop-off and late stay are also available (£3.50 extra).
