Restaurants to celebrate Valentine's Day in Sale
Love is in the air! We don’t need an excuse to dine in Sale, but Valentine’s (Galentine’s or Palentine’s, yes that’s a thing apparently), gives us the perfect opportunity to pick some favourites. It could be a fancy meal for two or a few pizzas with your mates, whatever you fancy doing, we know the atmosphere is important.
So here’s a quick list to help you decide which restaurant in Sale is best for you and your Valentine’s plans.
Good to know: these restaurants are listed in no particular order.
Mangiando Calabro
If you’re after a Valentine’s meal that's intimate, Mangiando Calabro is a great shout. With just nine tables in the restaurant, evenings here are cosy and tucked-away. Dinner (Thursday to Saturday until 9.30pm) leans into bold Calabrian flavours, with comforting pasta dishes like Fileja Ca ’Nduja bringing a gentle heat and Tagliatelle Da Muntagna offering a richer, heartier option. Start by sharing the Tagliere Mangiando Calabro — it’s generous, full of cured meats, cheeses and pickles, and comes with a terracotta ’nduja warmer so you can soften it up and spread it over focaccia. Add in the friendly hosting from Salvatore and Manuela, and it’s the sort of relaxed, romantic evening that doesn’t feel overdone — just really good food in a genuinely special little spot on Cross Street.
Opening hours
Tuesday and Wednesday 11am–5.30pm | Thursday 5.30-9.30pm and Friday and Saturday 11am–3pm & 5.30-9.30pm.
