Rob's Car Fest to bring classic cars, TV favourites and a Michael Jackson tribute to Sale this July

A growing community car show held in memory of a much-loved brother is coming to Sale this summer.

Rob's Car Fest will take place at Jackson's Boat on Saturday 18 July from 12pm, bringing together classic cars, iconic TV vehicles, family entertainment and fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The annual event is organised by Marcus Christie in memory of his brother, Rob, who proudly served in the Armed Forces. What began as a personal tribute has grown over the past couple of years into a much-loved day out for car enthusiasts, families and supporters.

Marcus said the event "means a great deal to him" personally and is "growing into something truly special within the community".

He said: "Rob’s Car Fest is an annual car show held in memory of my brother, Rob, who proudly served in the Armed Forces. The event is not only a celebration of automotive passion but also a way of honouring his legacy while supporting an important cause.

"We are raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping provide vital care for individuals and families affected by cancer."

Visitors can expect a wide variety of vehicles on display, from classic cars to famous TV and film-inspired cars, creating what Marcus describes as "a vibrant and engaging experience for attendees of all ages".

Previous Rob’s Car Fest events have featured eye-catching appearances from well-known screen vehicles, including cars linked to The A-Team and Supernatural and this year’s Sale event is expected to be the biggest yet.

This year’s show will be held in the canalside setting of Jackson's Boat, with organisers planning a bigger line-up, more attractions and an enhanced experience for visitors throughout the day. The event will also continue into the evening with a special ticketed appearance from Navi, widely known as the world's number one Michael Jackson tribute act. Navi performed for Michael Jackson himself at birthday parties in Los Angeles and New York and his evening appearance will bring the day to a memorable close.

The daytime car show takes place from 12pm on Saturday 18 July at Jackson's Boat in Sale.
