Double award nomination for Johnson & Leatherbarrow at National Optician Awards
Sale-based Johnson & Leatherbarrow Opticians has been shortlisted for two prestigious titles at the Optician Awards 2025.
The practice, which also has a branch in Poynton, is a finalist in both the Contact Lens Practice of the Year and Myopia Management Award categories.
The Optician Awards, which celebrate excellence across the eye care profession, received more than 250 entries this year across 18 categories. Judges narrowed down the finalists ahead of a glittering ‘90s-themed ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Saturday 13 December 2025.
Johnson & Leatherbarrow said of their nominations: “Being nominated among the best in the industry is an honour – and we’re crossing our fingers to bring the awards home to Sale and Poynton! Thank you to our incredible team and loyal patients who make this possible. Your continued support inspires us every day. Let’s bring it back where it belongs!”
Fellow Sale-based independent opticians, Stanley Square Opticians, have also been named finalists, this time in the Fashion Practice of the Year category.
With both practices flying the flag for Sale, all eyes will be on London this December to see if the awards come home.
