Boutique fitness studio Solace Studios set to open in Sale

A specialist boutique fitness studio dedicated to barre, Pilates and yoga will open in Sale in early 2026, as Solace Studios arrives in Stanley Square.

The studio has been founded by Kirsty Ward and Holly Leckie, who both grew up in Sale, making the location particularly meaningful.

Both founders trained and worked as professional dancers, performing on cruise ships and international touring shows around the world. After returning home, Kirsty and Holly retrained extensively and found a natural connection with barre and Pilates, not only as a personal practice, but as something they were passionate about teaching and sharing with others.

That journey ultimately led them back to Sale, with the vision of creating a carefully designed, welcoming space rooted in community.

Solace Studios has been built on the belief that movement is for everyone. Rather than following fitness trends, the studio’s ethos centres on exercise as a long-term lifestyle, with inclusivity, accessibility and connection at its core. Alongside regular classes, Solace plans to offer community-focused sessions designed to make movement feel approachable and supportive for all abilities.

The new luxury studio will feature two bespoke fitness spaces. The first is a calm, 16-person mat studio, which will host barre, mat Pilates, yoga and mobility classes. The second is an intimate reformer Pilates studio equipped with eight top-of-the-range reformer beds, offering a range of Signature, Strength and Cardio reformer classes.

In addition to group sessions, Solace Studios will offer beginner-friendly classes, one-to-one sessions, studio hire and a growing programme of events as the timetable develops.

Kirsty and Holly say they are particularly excited to be opening in Stanley Square, joining a thriving community of independent businesses they have long admired. The location has become a well-known hub for shopping and food and Solace Studios is expected to complement the area’s expanding wellbeing offering.

For the founders, the goal is to create a space that feels like home, somewhere people can move, connect and feel supported, whether they are stepping into a studio for the first time or deepening an existing practice.

Solace Studios is set to open its doors in early 2026, welcoming the Sale community to move together and find a little solace along the way.
