Cork of the North announces second own-produced wine
Cork of the North has revealed it’s about to release its second own-produced wine, with a brand-new white called SKI LIFT set to land in the UK within the next couple of weeks.
Sharing the update with customers, the team said they’ve been “very busy on a number of new projects recently” – and SKI LIFT is one of the biggest things they’ve been working on behind the scenes.
It follows the success of Cork of the North’s first own-produced wine, which was announced back in July 2024, marking a major milestone for the popular Sale wine bar and bottle shop.
The new wine is currently being bottled in Austria, with delivery to the UK expected soon.
The bar describes the wine as “outrageously delicious” – a crisp, elegant white that’s designed to be just as enjoyable in winter as it is when the sun finally decides to show its face.
It has been produced by blending four grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Bouvier and Welschriesling. Cork of the North says the finished result is “as crisp as freshly laid Alpine snow” – an Alpine-inspired white that’s made for easy, year-round drinking.
A growing milestone for a much-loved Sale wine spot
When Cork of the North launched its first own-produced wine in July 2024, it felt like a bold step,; taking everything they’d built as a trusted wine bar and shop and putting their name on a bottle of their own.
Now, with SKI LIFT, it’s clear that Cork of the North is continuing to develop its own line, shaped by the flavours and styles it knows its customers love.
And if the reaction to the first release is anything to go by, there’ll be plenty of people ready to be first in line to try it!
