The new restaurant opens tomorrow (Friday 06 October) and is owned by Wan Cowsill, a local resident and hairdresser/owner at La Maison in Altrincham.

She is opening the new business alongside her existing commitments and her family will run the day-to-day restaurant business.

Wan told us what people could expect.

“We are an authentic, family-run restaurant that we hope will showcase delicious Thai street food. I have always loved cooking; I started cooking when I was just six or seven years old and my love of it has grown since then.

“When I came to England 20 years ago, I started doing some private catering and it’s been my dream since then to open my own restaurant. Now it’s actually happening!”

The restaurant has been designed and decorated by Wan herself in natural resources such as wood partitions. A friendly neighbourhood restaurant, the menu is substantial, with a wide selection of street food dishes available. Customers can choose from soups, stir fries and noodles and a host of reasonably-priced appetisers. Take a look at the full food menu:

🕛 Wan Thai Street Food is open from 12-10pm (closed Mondays).
