A LOOK INSIDE… Coarse to Fine Coffee - new independent coffee shop opens in Sale

A new independent café has opened in Sale, bringing carefully crafted coffee, freshly baked cakes and a rather lovely new spot to sit and stay a while.

Coarse to Fine Coffee has recently opened on Ashton Lane and is run by a husband-and-wife team with a passion for good coffee and tasty cakes. We went to take a look inside…

Coffee takes centre stage here, with a menu covering everything from espressos, flat whites and cappuccinos to iced coffees. There are also hot chocolates, matcha and hojicha for those who fancy something different. But there's another very good reason to pop in: the cakes!

The café makes its sandwiches and baked goods in-house, including rolls and madeleines. During our visit, the brown butter and almond flake madeleine was an instant favourite – and there's a tempting display of other sweet treats to choose from too.

Inside, Coarse to Fine has a warm, minimalist feel, with natural wood, soft pendant lighting and simple, stylish furniture. There's seating towards the front of the café as well as larger tables further inside, making it a lovely spot for a catch-up over coffee or a quiet break from the day.

It's a welcoming space that feels thoughtfully put together, without being overly fussy.

For those who enjoy trying new independent cafes in Sale, Coarse to Fine is well worth adding to the list – particularly if you appreciate a good cup of coffee and something freshly baked to go with it!

Opening hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 7.30am-4.30pm
