àmphora Cafe

A lively spot for breakfast, especially at the weekend, àmphora has a traditional cafe vibe to it. They have plenty of breakfast options to choose from, including classic fry-ups and eggs Benedict dishes for those feeling a little bit fancy!

Blanchflower Sale

A top brunch spot in M33, Blanchflower prides itself on making all its freshly baked goods in-house. Has settled into Stanley Square nicely and is usually packed – especially at weekends.

Cafe Rose

A family-friendly, traditional cafe that has an extensive breakfast menu –the perfect place to hang out on a Saturday morning while trying to cure that pesky hangover.

Serving proper fry-ups, whether you’re a meat-eater or vegetarian, there's always a steady stream of locals coming through the door to enjoy its freshly-cooked, no-nonsense fodder.

📍Cafe Rose, 184 Northenden Road, Sale M33 2SR

Jackalope

If anyone knows an Instagrammable dish when it sees one, it’s the new addition to Sale, Jackalope. Thankfully, it’s not a case of style over substance – the food stands on its own.

Jackalope has loads of breakfast options available on the menu, including a full breakfast (with bacon and sausage supplied by everybody’s favourite Sale butcher, Taylors). They aren’t afraid to take a classic dish and notch it up a level or two; try their shaksouka, steak & eggs hash or huevos rancheros, for example.

Jackalope breakfast and brunch isn’t just for a quick ‘fill me up’ on a hungover morning – it’s the kind of food experience you can enjoy any day of the week, whatever your mood.

Jenny's Place Cafe

As Sale’s regeneration continues at a pace and new food and drink options arrive in town, it’s important to remember the originals who have continued to serve up delicious cuisine this whole time. Jenny’s is one such ‘place’ (some pun intended). Located in Stanley Square, Jenny’s is consistently busy; locals know what they are going to get if they pop in – quick service, generally large portions and, most importantly, freshly-cooked food.

A traditional cafe, Jenny’s Place keeps it classic when it comes to breakfast, sticking with the winning formula that makes a full English. Expect toast, beans, sausage, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms and a fried egg. Why mess with something that has worked for so long?

📍Jenny’s Place, 7 Stanley Square, Sale M33 7WZ

Porta 134

Porta 134 in Sale Moor recently re-opened its doors after a huge makeover. This Greek-inspired coffee shop serves up a traditional Cypriot breakfast, which includes eggs, grilled halloumi, feta, olives and sourdough toast.

If you’re not hungry enough for a large breakfast, Porta 134 also serves up a selection of baked treats for those who prefer their breakfast on the sweeter side.

📍Porta 134, 135 Northenden Road, Sale M33 3HE

Rack

Rack is a sandwich shop, but, like, way better. Opened on School Road in July 2023, its selection of breakfast sandwiches (until 11.30am) and all-day brunch dishes has gone down a treat with locals. Recommend!

📍 Rack, 1st Floor, 84 School Road, Sale M33 7XB
