One big thing: Refract:25 at Waterside

Refract, Trafford’s leading arts festival, is back – and it's looking bigger, bolder and brighter than ever.

Refract:25 returns to Waterside from Tuesday 22 to Sunday 27 July, bringing six days of live music, theatre, comedy, cabaret, dance and outdoor performances to M33.

Expect immersive shows, daring performances and boundary-pushing art. And it’s not just for grown-ups. This year’s line-up includes a packed programme of free, family-friendly entertainment on Waterside Plaza. Think giant puppets, live street theatre and interactive fun that’ll keep kids (and their parents) entertained.

Why it matters: Refract:25 brings high-quality, unexpected and joyful performances to our doorstep. It puts Sale on the cultural map, offering something different and makes the arts accessible for all.

With a brilliant mix of free outdoor fun and affordable ticketed shows, this is a festival the whole town can feel part of. So if you’re staying local this summer, let Refract:25 shake things up.
